Summer 2021 is Right Around The Corner - Camp Registration is Open!!

Be Strong in the Lord

Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.

Join us for amazing fun this summer at Bethany Lutheran School! Our Summer Day Camp provides children a safe, stimulating environment where they will make new friends and explore their creativity. This program is led by experienced staff and features low student to staff ratios based on grade level (K-4 and 5-8). Day camp is open to students’ grades K – 8th (*child must have completed Kindergarten already) and open to all students from the community.

Create your child’s perfect summer with weekly or full summer options! Our summer day camp has been designed to provide you with flexible and customizable offerings. Days start as early as 6:30am and last as late as 6pm! Our 8-week session begins June 7th and ends on July 30th. Families also have the option of attending on a weekly basis. We do not offer pro-rated prices for partial weeks. If opportunity presents itself this summer we will strive to have a field trip once a week on Wednesdays and/or Fridays. Fridays will be reserved for a weekly bowling trip to Stars and BBQ possibilities for lunch. Field Trips are subject to cancellation due to lack of participation and travel will be provided by Vacaville Public City Coach (if offered) and/or parent volunteers. Again—this will only happen if things open up for field trip opportunities.

Activities vary from week to week and are designed to be age appropriate. All students will complete online enrichment activities in the morning with fun and crafts after. Possible activities available every session are: Arts & Crafts, Khan Academy Level Up in Math, English and Reading enrichment activities, Wednesday/ Friday Field Trips off campus (if possible), Creative Writing, weekly themes, and much more! How to Get a Teenager to Clean Up - House Cleaning Made Easy

How do you get a teenager to clean up? Teenager chores are different from kid’s housework, right? Or if a teenager’s dirty room doesn't bother the teen, should it bother you?

We Ask a House Cleaner about cleaning motivation and cleaning hacks for teenager housework.

Angela Brown says kids cleaning the house is a good idea and trains them keep up a dirty room. Kids clean when there is a rewards system. And there should be a kid cleaning routine that easy for them to do.

One of the most important components of an educational program, is the ability to offer diversity within the course matrix. While striving to provide a high quality academic program, we realize that electives are essential in building that diversity. Bethany Lutheran is proud to offer our students a very rich and diverse elective program. Electives are typically courses that fall outside of the main core academic subject areas (English, math, history, science and foreign language). Electives may reflect a teen’s interests, introduce or improve skills, or be directly related to a future career. Electives do not require as much time or work as a core course, but include educational content.

Our elective courses are comprised of 6 to 8-week modules, which allows the student to experience a variety of new and challenging courses while learning new skills. This year the courses below will be provided to students in grades 5 – 8. Although each student will have an opportunity to take an elective course, they may not be able to participate in each one that is offered due to their own individual academic course offering.
